Attempting to ask the question
is like grasping for fish
with closed fists.
Perhaps it is more clearly
heard if their supple
silver bodies
are allowed to slip
through open fingers,
yielding to the ripples
of no trace.
the questions will ask and answer
themselves in the
articulate silence
of soft sitting.
